This notice explains how The Beach House by Sandbox (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through beachhousesb.com.au.
What we collect
- Enquiries: when you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your phone number, travel dates, number of guests and your message.
- Marketing consent: whether you ticked the box to hear about availability, last-minute openings and offers.
- Website use: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and which advertising works. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location. It does not give us your name or contact details.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and help you plan your stay.
- If you opted in, to send you occasional news about the house. Every message lets you unsubscribe, or you can simply ask us.
- To understand and improve the website and our advertising.
We do not sell or share your details with anyone else for their own marketing.
Where it is kept
Enquiries are emailed to our reception team and stored securely with our website host, Cloudflare. Website statistics are processed by Google. These providers may store data outside Australia. We keep enquiry records only as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any stay that follows.
Bookings
When you book online you use our booking engine, provided by SiteMinder. Your booking and payment details are handled by SiteMinder and its payment partners under their own privacy terms, and shared with us so we can manage your stay.
Your choices
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your marketing consent at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
